The Import One Stop Shop (IOSS), is a new way for businesses in non-EU countries, including the UK, to declare and pay VAT on goods sold to customers in the EU.
The key benefit of this new system is that businesses will only have to register for VAT in one EU state, rather than each country they sell into.
IOSS number format:
Every IOSS number is a total of 12 digits. It should always start with ‘IM’ and then be followed by 10 numbers with no spaces, e.g. IM0123456789. Key in the number in this format to ensure that it is recognized.
How can I know that IOSS has been successfully sent?
The IOSS number should not be printed on the label. The IOSS logo should be visible on the label.
