Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for:

  • The delivery of SKUs using the carrier of their choice.

  • The carrier to stick to these guidelines.

  • Announcing the correct amount of pallets or parcels and items being sent to the warehouse.

  • Announcing separate deliveries in case all pallets or parcels can not be delivered at the same time by the carrier.

  • Attaching delivery note with byrd’s delivery ID to the parcels or pallets (refer to the parcels and pallet requirement guidelines).*

  • Ensuring the delivery will arrive between the dates mentioned in the announcement.

  • Import and pay customs duties for deliveries coming from outside the European Union (EORI number required) and send them to the warehouse according to the INCOTERM DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Byrd will reject the delivery if this guideline is not followed.

  • Sending all packaging units (PU) with the same amount of units inside them.*

  • Identifying the SKU in each parcel when delivering multiple packaging units with different SKUs.*

  • Creating barcodes for every new SKU (inside the system and attached to each product) created and delivered at the warehouse.*

  • Creating and including a different barcode for packaging units (it should not be the same as the individual unit). Without this, the packaging unit feature will not be activated.

  • Marking/labeling each parcel with the “expiration date” and “LOT” if they are containing products with a lot and expiry date.*

  • A parcel should not contain more than one Lot/expiration date product.  There should be only one of these products per parcel.*
