In this article, we will provide you with a comprehensive guide to setting up your account successfully. Whether you are new to our platform or simply need a refresher, this guide will walk you through the essential steps to get started and perform basic actions in our dashboard. Let's dive in!


To log in, please visit app.getbyrd.com/login and log in with the email address and password from your welcome email. Please make sure that you change the password directly after the first login by clicking on the profile in the upper right corner. Then you can start setting up your account.

  • User profile: here you can adapt your account information.
  • Company profile: under this menu item information needs to be indicated, which is necessary for billing. Especially the VAT number and the corresponding company name as well as the billing address.
  • Payment details: choose a credit card or SEPA, as your preferred mean of payment, and provide the missing information.
  • Shop connections: here you can connect your Shop System. Please skip this step for now, we will cover it in detail in another section.
  • Configuration > Shipment Settings:
    • Send tracking emails: Here you can set whether the recipient of a shipment should automatically receive a tracking email from byrd. If you have already activated the sending of tracking emails from your webshop, we recommend deactivating this option in order to avoid multiple tracking emails.
    • Enable Address validation: We can check every shipment's address using a 3rd party validation service. If an address is invalid, just update it and we'll re-check it. You can also release it anyway without any change. You can find the cost for this feature in your proposal.
    • Enable Automatic shipping option switch: Enable this to have Economy shipments automatically switch to Standard if required (e.g. due to bigger packaging size). If enabled, the shipping costs of your shipments may increase
  • Configuration > Notifications: We'll send you an email every weekday morning with the stock status, blocked Shipments, and announced Returns. This feature is free of charge.
