temperatures are getting lower and days shorter as we are heading towards the busiest time of year: peak & holiday season. As you know, this means that order volumes are expected to grow significantly and things can become quite stressful in logistics. To keep things under control during this busy time, we would like to share an important announcement with you. Please read the instructions carefully. This will ensure that the order volumes can be prioritized accordingly so that your customers receive their parcels on time. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We encourage you to arrange replenishment deliveries early enough, ideally already in October in order to make sure that you are not running out of stock. However, the latest deadline to get your products back in stock with new deliveries, before Black Friday & Cyber Monday, is the 12th of November.
Deadline for pallet or parcel delivery for the Peak Season 2021 is 12. 11. 2021
Deliveries that meet the requirements of our inbounding delivery standards, and will arrive before the deadline, will be inbounded before 25th of November at the latest (guaranteed). All deliveries that arrive after the deadline, or not in accordance with our delivery standards, have a high risk of being inbounded after the Black Friday Week and can not be prioritized.
TEMPORARY INBOUND FREEZE
In calendar week 48 (Black Friday Week, 26.11 - 03.12) and week 50 (13.12 - 19.12) there will be an inbound freeze in our warehouses in order to prioritize the outbounding of your orders during the peak season. The inbound freeze applies to deliveries as well as returns. After the inbound freeze, we are going to resume the inbounding of deliveries at the warehouse and will prioritize them based on the arrival date. The timeline for the inbounding of deliveries that arrive after the 12. 11 will be communicated by byrd during the busy season. Please be aware that sticking to our byrd delivery standards is critical in order to get your products inbounded without delay.
In order to avoid bottlenecks in the warehouse, we encourage you to submit order volume forecasting data as well as a delivery plan with us, which will help us to plan fulfillment capacities in advance. Sharing this information with us is especially recommended if inventory quantities planned for deliveries in Q4 are higher than in Q3.
In case you expect possible delays for your announced deliveries, we kindly ask you to inform byrd as soon as possible.
At the end of December 2021 we will communicate when byrd is switching back to our standard SLAs.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Do not hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any questions.
All the best,
Your team byrd
