General Requirements
- You are responsible that your suppliers stick to the below-mentioned delivery guidelines. In case there are frequent non-standard deliveries arriving at the warehouse, the delivery may get rejected in connection with additional fees.
- Correct quantities of pallets or parcels must be announced.
- The full list of planned SKUs must be announced.
- In case you can't guarantee that pallets or parcels will arrive on the same day - create separate delivery announcements and mark deliveries with corresponding Delivery-ID.
- In case of deliveries coming from outside the EU, the customer is responsible for importing the goods and paying customs duties, for which the EORI number is required. (In no circumstance is byrd able to accept goods that are not customs cleared or assume responsibility). Please also make sure to send the goods according to the INCOTERM DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
- When delivering packaging units (PU), there can only be one PU per SKU, this PU must always be delivered with the same quantity of single units inside.
- Packaging Unit & Selling Unit must have barcodes which differ from each other.
- The delivery must be announced in advance before arrival at the warehouse (for deliveries announced on the same day before 10 am the day of the announcement counts as day 1, for deliveries announced after 10 am the next day counts) according to the timeline below:
1st delivery - min. 5 working days in advance;
Deliveries with new products - min. 5 working days in advance;
small deliveries min. 3 working days in advance; (max. 3 pallets, max. 5 SKUs; max. 3 parcels, max. 5 SKUs)
big deliveries min. 5 working days in advance; (> 3 pallets, > 5 SKUs; > 3 parcels, > 5 SKUs)
Container deliveries 10 working days in advance;
Delivery Requirements - Pallet Deliveries
- Every pallet must be marked with the byrd delivery ID (it is generated as soon as the announcement is submitted in the Customer Dashboard).
- A physical copy of the delivery note must be attached to shipment.
- A tracking link must be uploaded in the customer dashboard, if available.
- The contact phone number of the warehouse can be found on the delivery note to allow the carrier to notify the warehouse of the arrival, this step is mandatory for full truck load deliveries. The contact phone number may only be used for transport notification purposes by the carrier.
- All single units must be packed in individual boxes, and those should be marked with SKU and quantity.
- All products have to be sorted: max. 1 SKU per one Packaging Unit. Multiple Packaging Units with different SKUs on one pallet are accepted but should be easily identifiable.
Delivery Requirements - Parcel Deliveries
- Every parcel must be marked with the byrd delivery ID (it is generated as soon as the announcement is submitted in the Customer Dashboard);
- A physical copy of the delivery note must be attached to shipment;
- A tracking link must be uploaded in the customer dashboard; (If you plan to deliver the goods on your own, the tracking link is not mandatory. Please inform the warehouse about the self delivery through the description in the additional details section of the delivery announcement)
- All selling units in one parcel must be sorted in individual boxes/containers/bags. The individual containers must be marked with SKU and quantity;
- Maximum weight of 30 kg per box;
Delivery Requirements - Container deliveries
- Customers are only allowed to send container deliveries upon explicit approval from byrd. Should this not have been specifically clarified with byrd, and a container delivery arrives at the warehouse, it will be rejected;
- All container deliveries must be announced minimum 10 working days in advance;
- All container deliveries must be separately confirmed with byrd (submitting the delivery announcement in the customer dashboard is not sufficient, if not properly confirmed with byrd extra fees might apply or delivery will be rejected);
- If the container is unpalletized, please see the guidelines referring to parcel deliveries;
- For container deliveries which arrive unpalletized, extra fees will apply;
- For container deliveries which arrive unpalletized, extra fees will apply;
- If container is palletized please see the guidelines referring to pallet deliveries
- For container deliveries which arrive palletized with non-EUR pallets, extra fees will apply (EUR Pallet: 800 mm × 1200 mm Flat pallet made of wood; according to DIN EN 13698-1:2004-01)
- Inbound SLA: from 3 to 5 working days depending on the container size and colli type.
