[Products & Inventory](https://support.getbyrd.com/en/knowledge-base/products-inventory?hsLang=en) # How to Create a New Product/SKU in Your Dashboard Follow these simple steps to create a new product in the byrd dashboard and connect it with your e-commerce system. ### **Access the Inventory Section & Create a New Product** - Log into your byrd dashboard. - Navigate to the **"Inventory"** section. - Go to **"Products" \>** click on the **"New Product"** button at the top right corner. - There are two ways of creating a product in your dashboard: **manually** or via **CSV upload.** ![](https://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.freshdesk.com/data/helpdesk/attachments/production/43506157144/original/2JTQbOfUdWck9j2gCA6xIj8Fj-8PcLDu8w.png?1724355927) ### **Creating a Product Manually** ### **1. Fill in Product Details** In the subsection **“Manually”**, fill in the following fields to create a new product: - **Product Name:** Enter any name by which you can identify the product. This name will be printed on the customs declaration for international shipments. - **SKU:** Ensure the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) matches the SKU in your e-commerce system. Optional Information** While the following fields are optional, providing this information can make handling easier and are sometimes required for customs processing: **Customs-Related Information** - **Country of Origin:** Mandatory for shipping outside the EU (required for customs forms). - **Customs Tariff Number:** Mandatory for shipping outside the EU (required for customs forms). **Product Handling Information** - **Description:** Enter a description for your internal purposes. - **UPC / EAN (barcode):** Enter barcodes for your products for scanning during picking. This is mandatory for product categories, unless creating a branding item like a flyer. - **Reorder Point:** Enter a number to notify you when stock falls below that number. Activation required.
